A tripartite agreement has been signed between the UNDP, PWA and JWU, where the UNDP had been entrusted by the Finnish Government to manage the implementation of the Bridging Project which, aims at facilitating the expansion of JWU scope of services to include wastewater services. An amount of US$ 842,000 had been allocated for this project. The Bridging Project, is the outcome of the Conceptual Sewerage Master Plan for the central part of the West Bank, which was also funded by the Finnish Government and completed in 1997.
